Beyond professional reference checks and behavioral interviews, every candidate undergoes targeted software proficiency testing (e.g., advanced Excel, industry-specific CRM/ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite). This ensures the temporary worker possesses the precise skills needed to be immediately productive.
Generally, client companies are responsible for providing the necessary on-site equipment (e.g., computer, software licenses, desk). However, for specific remote contracts, we can negotiate terms for the provision of essential temporary equipment, ensuring the worker is set up and productive from day one.
By utilizing Scion Staffing, your company completely mitigates the risk of worker misclassification under California’s strict AB-5 regulations. As the W-2 Employer of Record, we ensure all temporary staff are correctly classified as employees, fully managing their taxes, benefits, and compliance duties under the “ABC Test.”
Our Temp-to-Hire model is designed for evaluation. After a specified performance period, your company can convert the temporary employee to a permanent role. The conversion fee is clearly defined upfront, often pro-rated based on the time the employee spent on contract, making it an efficient and predictable path to long-term hiring.
Scion Staffing, as the Employer of Record, is fully responsible for all legally mandated benefits, including compliance with California and San Francisco sick leave ordinances. We manage the accrual, tracking, and administration of these benefits entirely, eliminating the administrative burden for your company.
